“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9
Our goal is to encourage women from Atlanta and beyond to learn from each other and grow in God's Word. We gather for a few hours every October to praise God and immerse ourselves in Bible study. We invite all women to join us in doing so.

Ellen lives in Arlington, Texas, with Josh, her husband of fifteen years, and their three children – Bennett, Olsen, and Laurel. She works for Sacred Selections as the Adoptions Director of Operations. She has entered this role after a decade of volunteering with the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter and loves working directly with families along their adoption journey. Before beginning that role, Ellen was an educator for ten years. She has also been involved in FC Texas Camps directing FC Texas Winter Camp with Josh for the past six years. She loves teaching Bible classes, but working with older kids and ladies' studies are her favorites as it gives the opportunity to dig deeper with rich concepts and application. Ellen loves audiobooks, a good cup of coffee, and the gift of movement – whether that movement comes from time at the gym, a morning walk, or from playing with the kids!
Cindy Dunagan is the author of Your Fresh Start, the host of the Nomads You and I podcast, and co-host of the live online program Older Women Likewise. She and her husband of forty-four years live nomadically part-time in a van and have completed their quest to visit and encourage 100 conservative churches of Christ around the country in order to gather and share biblically sound, inspiring ideas for growing the Kingdom of Heaven. She shares those ideas on her blog NomadsYouAndi.com and in her new book One Hundred Churches: A Three-Year Road Trip to Witness the Joy of Authentic Christianity — both available through OneStone.com.

Nikki Lee was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She met her husband, Benjamin, at a church event in New York in 2003 and quickly married him the following year. Nikki and Ben have worked with churches in Illinois, Missouri, and Beaumont, Texas, and currently work with the West Main Church of Christ in Lewisville, Texas. They have been there for the past five years. Nikki enjoys staying at home with her 12¾-year-old son, Joshua. They often spend quality time catching Pokémon, battling Beyblades, gaming on Roblox, and mining in Minecraft. Nikki has taught Bible classes to young people and conducted several retreats for young girls. She treasures her opportunities to help young girls build their confidence and make good choices. She is passionate about her faith, sharing Jesus, being a homeschool mom, and volunteering in her community.
Jacqueline obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ and was baptized at the age of 25, along with her husband Brian. The newlyweds learned the truth sitting around a kitchen table in Tustin, California. They have been married for 41 years, and were blessed with the privilege of raising two children. Jacqueline’s passion is to inspire young children to excel in their Bible knowledge and their math and writing skills. She is an experienced elementary educator. In 2015, she and her husband moved to the Tampa Bay area to serve the students at Florida College. Brian and Jacqueline currently worship at the Henderson Blvd. church in Tampa, Florida, where Brian serves as an elder. She keeps the Henderson elementary Bible class program running smoothly. She is “Grammy” to four beautiful grandchildren, and is grateful for the opportunity to help with their homeschooling. She enjoys bike riding and crafting.
Bonny Cable grew up with a song in her heart! She feels a close connection to the Lord through song, knowing it is one way He wants us to praise Him! Together with her husband Joe of 20 years, they are working to raise their boys, Jack and Jett, to also love praising the Lord in song and maybe even to raise them up to be song leaders! The Cables live In Temple Terrace where Bonny is an education professor at Florida College. She is thrilled to be able to impact education for many kids by teaching future teachers to work in that mission field. Bonny finds great joy baking for others and hosting them in their home which she loves to decorate for each season and holiday. Having learned music in band, then chorus, and in a singing group for Florida College called the Friends, she sees God's loving hand in preparing her to be able to serve in this unique way through song leading. What a blessing!

When Caneta wrote this in 2004, she and Sewell were working with the Upper West Manhattan congregation in New York City and also trying to encourage the many small congregations in New England by traveling to visit whenever a gospel meeting was announced, something they both enjoyed greatly. In December of 2005, they moved to work in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, until 2008, when they returned to the Embry Hills congregation in Atlanta, living in “the house on the hill.” In 2011, they moved into a condo just across the interstate from the Embry Hills building. It was there, on February 19, 2020, that she passed peacefully from this earth. She had served quietly but effectively as a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and even as a great-grandmother, but most importantly, as a Christian woman who constantly served others as she served Christ Jesus.
“Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her.”
